  32. I just re-read your message, and see that I may have mislead you.

  34. Evidently you don't have a Vi.  In that case, you can't download the
  35. SDL upgrade-- your modem doesn't have the flash ROM feature.  You'll
  36. have to contact USR about buying a ROM chip if you want to upgrade.

  38. It may not be worth shelling out the bucks for the upgrade unless you
  39. consistently connect at 28.8 using your current modem and phone lines.
  40. In other words, if your phone lines only let you connect at 26400 (or
  41. lower) now, your phone lines are the bottleneck.  In this case, having
  42. a faster modem isn't going to do you any good.
